Singapore, Sri Lanka keen to pursue bilateral free trade pact

SINGAPORE and Sri Lanka are both keen to pursue a bilateral free trade agreement, ministers from both countries have said on Wednesday. The Sri Lanka-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (SLSFTA) is expected to comprise commitments in trade in goods, services, investment and government procurement, said Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry in a release on Wednesday. Sri Lanka-Singapore Business Council delegation concludes Trade and Investment Promotion Mission

A 15 member Sri Lankan business delegation led by the Sri Lanka-Singapore Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has met with representatives of over 70 Singapore companies in order to explore opportunities in the areas of trade, tourism and investment.
